Recent Match Reports

B Reign challenged Foxster

June 25, 2008
Result: B Reign won
An early slip up led to Foxster losing his Queen and B Reign holding on to win by resignation after Foxster fought back brilliantly, almost overcoming the early blunder. Will these two ever play a game where both are at their best?

BestPlayerEver challenged patness70

June 5, 2008
Result: BestPlayerEver won
Luckily, only the first game of two 3 min games counts! Fortunately, BestPlayerEver won the first game and advances the ladder. The second game was also marked by BestPlayerEver's dominance and brilliance, but even Napoleon's prescient faculties can be compromised by improbables such as syphillis. In this case, BestPlayerEver was distracted by that stupid annoying clock, and lost by time.

B Reign challenged Foxster

June 4, 2008
Result: Foxster won
The Foxster prevails, keeps his top spot. One fatal mistake by B Reign cost him the game. B Reign proved to be a worth opponet.

BestPlayerEver challenged LeeC

June 3, 2008
Result: BestPlayerEver won
Lee made an amazing comeback after an early high-pressured attack (and loss) of his queen. A small mistake forced Lee to concede the match, but a very hard-fought battle between two Asian Sensations!!!

B Reign challenged kannankr

May 28, 2008
Result: B Reign won
kannankr kept attacking until the end and was defeated in B Reign's first match.

dmoney challenged patness70

May 28, 2008
Result: dmoney won
Patness70 didn't care. Then Patness70 won. Patness70 didn't care. So dmoney takes his spot.

BestPlayerEver challenged Pens_Dynasty

May 23, 2008
Result: BestPlayerEver won
Enraged that a half-century-old man was able to handily beat me in standard pushups, I was determined to play movie critic and discuss how the Academy Award winner "No Country for Old Men" pertains to chess. I threatened with a Fianchetto move which showed Bret he was dealing with "A Beautiful Mind". I successfully executed a fork of rook and knight which basically turned Bret's candy-colored Hello Kitty world into "Apocalypse Now". He fought valiantly, and I respectfully credit him with having "True Grit". Unfortunately, my momentum was way too strong and Beef Brisky soon joined the ranks of "The Departed".

dmoney challenged LeeC

May 22, 2008
Result: dmoney won
This time, Dmoney had to claim a victory. Next time, Lee will know that a pawn advanced to the 8th rank can become a queen (or any other piece).

This was a humiliating defeat for Ms. Brisky. After I did 37 perfect push ups, I proceeded to push back Bret's child-like challenge. I'm actually not sure how anyone can take him seriously after this, and I'm ashamed to even call it a challenge. Are Bret's previous victories merely an illusion; a product of wishful thinking? I'm going to go to my fiancée's elementary school and see if I can find a peer for Bret to play. If Bret can beat another child-like player, maybe I'll play him again. It will be an amusing diversion.
